Standing for Happy: Soda Pop Stop in LA

View Comments

Awesome Video of John Nese, owner of Soda Pop Stop in LA. Best part is when he says “It’s rally bubbled water. If I was to define it in one word it would be happy…maybe smile.” He gets marketing and he’s completely authentic. He confidently says that the key is to “set yourself apart by providing your customers with something that no one else has.”

He’s got an opinion AND a spine. He rants on everything from Corn Syrup, Energy Drinks and Big Business. That’s what really sets him apart.

Social media strategy: Resume Brilliance

View Comments

In case you don’t appreciate the ensuing hilarity, let me share a few points with you:

I consider this page a perfect attempt at social media marketing. It will find it’s way to the right audiences, and they will (see?) shared it.

I found it because I follow Jeremiah Owyang on Twitter and he tweeted it recently. I started a post on it and noticed the draft today. As of this moment, jowyang also has 37,594 other followers. Some of them as influential as me!

It offers something useful to those who take the time to read it–a laugh.

It’s conversation-worthy.

It’s niche focussed–you either get or you don’t. This can also act as a good filter saving Mr. Stokes from having to talk to people who won’t appreciate what he offers.

And it worked on me–I followed the link to the new portfolio site.

N-joy:

Noah Stokes.

Who says social media isn’t useful?
This fun little script helps turn your limited larder into meal–either add twitter or use the site:

if you’re on Twitter, you can talk to Twecipe like this: “@twecipe broccoli, carrots, beef” and you’ll get a response like this: “Try Beef and Vegetable Pie http://twecipe.com/_kaw”. If you’re not on Twitter, you can use the site. And that’s it! A quick and handy way to get quick and handy recipes.”
